DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Centerville family is back home after making a plea to the U.S. Congress over the past couple of days.

Awo Onwudiwe and her mother, Dr. Mamle Anim, asked lawmakers to make sure children are properly taken care of in the health care system.

They want to see the advancement of care for children with complicated medical conditions in Medicaid.

Awo had the opportunity to meet with Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown to discuss children’s health care.
