FAA awards grant to CVG airport

The Federal Aviation Administration awarded a $17.6 million grant to improve the taxiway at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The airport will use the money to rehabilitate an entire 10,000-foot runway and 1,800 feet of another taxiway. The project will occur in two phases starting Sept. 1 and ending Dec. 15, 2013. The total cost of the pavement project is $23.5 million.

“CVG provides important travel services to Cincinnati-area businesses and visitors,” U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown said in a news release.
