McARTHUR, Ohio (WSAZ) -- U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, announced Wednesday that Sojourners Care Network in McArthur was awarded $1,100,000 to provide academic and job skills training for at-risk youth..

The money comes from the United States Department of Labor’s (DOL) YouthBuild program.

YouthBuild is an alternative education program for students between the ages of 16 and 24 who have been in the juvenile justice system, are aging out of foster care, have dropped out of high school, or have other risk factors that could prevent them from reaching key educational and career milestones.
