WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $1,359,736 has been awarded to the Holmes County Airport Authority & Board of Commissioners by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to finalize the construction of a new runway.

“This is great news for Holmes County,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance the capacity of the Holmes County Airport, increase its revenue and allow the runway to meet the operational needs of the airport.  These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Holmes County Airport is a general aviation airport in Millersburg operated by the Holmes County Aviation Authority.
