WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $172,246 has been awarded to the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority and the Toledo Executive Airport by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to rehabilitate two runways and a taxiway in order to maintain structural integrity and minimize foreign object debris.

“This is great news for Lucas County,” Brown said. “These improvements will allow the runway to meet the operational needs of the airport. These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Toledo Executive Airport is a reliever airport associated with the city of Toledo.
