WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $65,175 has been awarded to the Pike County Airport & the Pike County Commissioners by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to rehabilitate parts of the airport’s taxiway and complete the construction of a service road.

“This is great news for Pike County,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance the capacity of the Pike County Airport and allow the runway to meet the operational needs of the airport.  These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Pike County Airport is a general aviation airport in Waverly.
