WASHINGTON, D.C. – New federal resources have been awarded to an airport in Logan County. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the City of Bellefontaine has been awarded federal resources through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to construct a new hanger which will move the airport towards being self-sustaining by generating new revenue.

“The Bellefontaine Regional Airport provides important travel services to area small businesses, recreational pilots, and visitors,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for the county.”

The airport will receive a $600,000 grant to complete the project.
