WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met this week with Salem native Andrew Burch, a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation Young Agricultural Professionals. Burch attended Brown’s weekly coffee with constituents.

“Agriculture plays an important role in Ohio’s economy and food system,” said Brown. “It’s promising to see young people like Andrew take an interest in making sure Ohio remains an agricultural leader.”

The Ohio Farm Bureau Young Agricultural Professionals are individuals ages 18 to 35 with an interest in improving agriculture business and developing leadership skills. Many are full- or part-time farmers, educators, former Ohio Farm Bureau Youth members, Future Farmers of America and 4-H alumni, and industry employees.
