WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced $74,700 in federal funding for Holmes County Airport to make improvements that will help increase efficiency and safety. The Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the funding.

“Support for community airports is key to the safety of travelers and the flow of commerce,” said Brown. “This award will give Holmes County the resources to make needed improvements that will benefit those that rely on the local airport and its services.”

The $74,700 award will fund an obstruction survey to evaluate any obstructions to design surfaces and a wildlife hazard assessment.
