WASHINGTON, D.C. – New federal resources have been awarded to an airport in Medina County. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Medina Municipal airport has been awarded resources for rehabilitating its runway by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) program.
“Medina Municipal Airport provides important travel services to Medina-area business travelers, flight students, and visitors,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for air travelers in Northeast Ohio.”
The airport will receive a $722,015 grant to be used for the rehabilitation of the airport’s runway. The funding is also needed to minimize foreign object debris at the airport.
