WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met this week with representatives from the Ohio Pork Council, which is based in Columbus.

“One in seven Ohio jobs is tied to food and agriculture. It’s important to hear from farmers and pork producers in our state,” said Brown. “I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Ohio Pork Council who share my dedication to growing our state’s agricultural sector.”

The Ohio Pork Council aims to increase awareness for the challenges and solutions facing Ohio’s pork industry. The Ohio Pork Council was in Washington, D.C. for a conference of the National Pork Producers Council. The Ohio Pork Council representatives in attendance include: David Deao, Ken Garee, Bryan Humphreys, Phil Jordan, Bill Knapke, Todd Price, and Ben Zientek.
