WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met this week with representatives from the Ohio Pork Council, including Ben Zientek of Liberty Center. 

“One in seven Ohio jobs is tied to food and agriculture. It’s important to hear from farmers and pork producers in our state,” said Brown. “I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Ohio Pork Council who share my dedication to growing our state’s agricultural sector.”

The Ohio Pork Council, based in Columbus, aims to increase awareness for the challenges and solutions facing Ohio’s pork industry. The Ohio Pork Council was in Washington, D.C. for a conference of the National Pork Producers Council.
