WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today met with Executive Director of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers Jay Williams, who served as Youngstown Mayor until August 2011.

“Having served as mayor of Youngstown—a city inextricably linked with the auto industry—Jay thoroughly understands the challenges facing former automotive communities and their many workers,” Brown said. “As an Ohioan, he also understands how important auto manufacturing is to our state and to our nation’s economic recovery. I look forward to continuing to work with Jay to strengthen and spur economic development in Ohio’s auto communities.”
