WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met last week with Patti-Jo Burtnett of Elyria, a representative of Lorain County Children Services, a child welfare agency. Burtnett attended Brown’s weekly coffee with constituents during a trip to Washington D.C.

“It was an honor to meet with Patti-Jo Burtnett,” Brown said. “Her work helps ensure the safety and wellbeing of Lorain County children, a group that often cannot advocate on its own behalf.”

Lorain County Children Services offers protective and preventive services for abused, neglected, and dependent children. The agency also helps facilitate foster or adoptive parenting.
