Lucas County will receive nearly $14 million of $191 million in federal money going to Ohio counties for the demolition of vacant or blighted houses.

The Lucas County Land Bank will receive $13.8 million of the state’s latest share of the Hardest Hit Fund, a program administered by the U.S. Treasury Department and created in 2010 to help communities deal with the economic and housing-market downturns.
