WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $10,706,931 was awarded to the Columbus Regional Airport Authority to replace a runway and convert an existing runway into a taxiway to improve efficiency and safety. The U.S. Department of Transportation funds were awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration.
"Ohio families, business owners, students, and visitors depend on safe and efficient operations at Port Columbus," Brown said. "This funding will ensure that flights departing from and arriving to Port Columbus do so on a modern and safe runway."
