MANSFIELD - A new $13 million fire station will replace the current building at the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard Base.
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, Tuesday announced that the final National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) released by the House and Senate NDAA conference committee includes $13 million to replace the fire station at Mansfield Lahm Air National Guard Base.
The new facility, scheduled for construction in fiscal year 2019, will ensure the fire station has an adequate ventilation system for engine fumes and a women’s locker room and restrooms, Brown said in a news release.
