Two Ottawa County airports will receive federal funds to rehabilitate runways from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

Sen. Sherrod Brown said in a news release Friday that the Put-in-Bay Airport is expected to receive $1.2 million to repair pavement where airplanes refuel and unload and load baggage.

The Erie-Ottawa International Airport in Port Clinton was given $1.1 million to improve one of its runways and find ways to reduce debris from getting on the runway.
