Bill Could Help Employers Go Green

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) announced a bill that would help auto suppliers and other manufacturers "go green" and create more clean energy jobs.

The bill was announced at a conference call Wednesday.

The Investments for Manufacturing Progress and Clean Technology (IMPACT) Act of 2009 would establish a $30 billion Manufacturing Revolving Loan Fund that would help small and mid-sized auto suppliers and other small and mid-sized manufacturers revamp their operations to become a part of the clean energy industry - reorganizing, expanding or establishing domestic clean energy operations and improving overall energy efficiency.
