The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to release its final report today on the bus crash that killed five Bluffton University baseball players, the bus driver and his wife.
Release of the findings will end the board's 16-month investigation of the accident in Atlanta, Ga.
During a public meeting scheduled for 9:30 a.m. today at the board's headquarters in Washington, D.C., the board will review the final report, which will include findings, probable cause and safety recommendations.
The team's charter bus was headed south on Interstate 75, toward a tournament in Florida, when the driver took a left-hand exit from a high-occupancy vehicle lane on Atlanta's north side. The bus went up the ramp, skidded across a major street at the top of the ramp, then flipped over the side of the overpass. The bus dropped about 30 feet, landing on its side on I-75.
