U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, was expected to introduce legislation Wednesday to create a federal green energy technology investment program. Brown said the legislation was designed specifically to benefit towns such as Tiffin and communities in other states that rely heavily upon a manufacturing base.
“The way we wrote this bill, it will have a bias toward manufacturing states and toward states like Ohio that have history of manufacturing,” Brown said. “They know how to make things, or have entrepreneurial activity, and that’s why we are very well suited to take advantage of this bill.”
