Perhaps no invasive species is more prominently on Ohio’s radar than the notorious Asian carp, leading Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) to recently introduce legislation that he hopes will prod the president into action.

Brown, among a group of bipartisan members of Congress from Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois, recently introduced the Stop Asian Carp Now Act, which the senator’s office says will “compel” the Trump Administration to release a critical study they hope will provide guidance on how to stop the spread of the invasive species into the Great Lakes.
