With all eyes turning to Washington Tuesday for President Donald Trump's State of the Union speech, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown used the occasion to draw attention to the Butch Lewis Act, a bill he has sponsored to fix numerous pension plans that are on the brink of failure and threatening massive cuts.

He was joined at the State of the Union speech Tuesday evening by Rita Lewis, widow of the late Butch Lewis, Vietnam veteran, truck driver and Teamster, who died in 2015 while leading the fight to preserve the pensions.
