MINSTER — A U.S. senator visited an area manufacturing plant Monday afternoon as part of his “Made in Ohio Tour.” U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Mansfield, visited the largest yogurt production facility in the country as he toured the Dannon plant in Minster. After the tour, Brown spoke of the trade agreement tax laws and the need to keep jobs in this country as he took time to meet with plant workers and officials.

“There’s far too much outsourcing,” he said.

“We are proud to be making products for local consumers and making products locally,” he said.
Brown touched upon the prospective expansion for the plant, something he said he encouraged, and the current Women Infants Children (WIC) program that reaches out to low-income women with children.
