Economic troubles making it harder for parents to fill children's bellies

Hard economic times are raising the number of Ohio children who go hungry each day and Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) wants to make certain folks who need help get it.

"Ohio families are struggling to pay their housing costs, fill their gas tanks and put food on their tables," said Sen. Brown. "It's alarming that the number of Ohio families in need of food assistance has risen so rapidly in the past year. We must provide immediate resources to families in need, particularly children that depend on the school lunch program for nutritious meals."
