WASHINGTON -- Thousands of Ohioans fail to get income tax refunds or credits for which they are eligible because they don't bother to file for them -- or don't know how. So U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown today launched a website to help.
It has links and contact information for getting tax forms and for learning about eligibility for the earned income tax credit and college tuition tax credits. It provides links for getting free tax-preparation help for low-income families and seniors. It tells Ohioans where to go to see if they qualify for dependent- or child-care credits.
