If there were any doubts that fuel cells have become part of Ohio's economic rebirth, Ohio House Speaker Jon Husted answered them Wednesday in a speech at the Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition's annual symposium.

"I care a lot about growing Ohio's economy and using technology to do that," he told more than 300 attending the two-day conference at the University of Akron.

"Fuel cells are an important part of a new energy strategy. They are an important part of an economic development strategy for Ohio," he said. "Energy will be the defining issue of our time. This really is a race to the future with consequences in the present."
