U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Republican President Donald Trump don’t agree very often. But when they do, wrongs get made right.

Brown’s bipartisan Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2017 was named after the original designer of the GI Bill in 1944 but it aims to improve and extend benefits for post-9/11 veterans and their families. It hit the president’s desk Wednesday afternoon where it was promptly signed into law.
