WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Governor Ted Strickland will be in the southwest Ohio city of Wilmington today to meet with local officials about DHL's plans.
The shipping company is ending its domestic deliveries in January, and thousands of jobs at the DHL air hub in Wilmington are at risk.
A spokeswoman for DHL says the shipping company's air hub in southwest Ohio is unlikely to see much immediate impact from cutbacks announced today but that doesn't sit well with Ohio's U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown.
