Nearly 30 percent of Fayette Countians had difficulties paying medical bills over the past year, according to an analysis introduced by U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) on Thursday.

Although the percentage of Fayette Countians who had trouble paying their medical bills was less than all surrounding counties according to the Health Policy Institute of Ohio survey, Brown said health reform should be a concern for all Ohioans. During a conference call Thursday with newspapers from around the state, Brown (D-OH) joined President Obama's Director of Health Reform Nancy-Ann DeParle to discuss why they believe health reform will improve medical care and lower costs for Ohio families and businesses.
