WASHINGTON — Maybe it's the summer doldrums.
But it seemed like the pace of Congress last week on a few important issues was positively glacial.
The Senate stalled on passing a much-anticipated bill aimed at providing relief for the foreclosure crisis over a dispute over taxes. It was unfortunate because the Miami Valley is desperate for some real relief.
But spokespeople for both Democrat and Republican senators say they're confident this is a temporary setback, and that Congress will pass something this year. The bill includes $16.5 million for Dayton, according to Sen. Sherrod Brown's office.
