Several Ohio lawmakers are pushing for funding of a Blanchard River flood project from unallocated funds given to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green), Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) sent a letter to the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division Wednesday to work a 2014 plan, which explained the expenses needed for the Blanchard River Flood Risk Management Project.
“The Blanchard River flooding risks are both a safety and economic concern that directly impacts Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District and all interested stakeholders,” said Congressman Latta.
