WASHINGTON -- Federal lawmakers are trying to attack the foreclosure crisis plaguing parts of the country.
If the U.S. Senate approves a piece of legislation this week and President George W. Bush doesn't veto it, Lorain County could see an estimated $4.3 million to improve its neighborhoods, Sen. Sherrod Brown said yesterday.
Erie and Huron counties could receive approximately $943,000 and $768,000, respectively, according to information from Brown's office. All the money figures are estimates.
