— Another grant of $350,000 will pay for further ecological restoration along the Black River.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown on Aug. 8 announced the grant from the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration to pay for site assessment, engineering and design for almost seven acres of habitat restoration.
“We must protect the Black River area and ensure that the watershed from surrounding industries does not compromise this important natural resource,” Brown said. “These funds will help ensure the water quality is safe.”
