Brian Alexander has always wanted to be an educator.
"I've always wanted to be a teacher, even when I was a small child," the 2007 Miami University graduate said. "But I'm not sure if teaching's something I want to do long-term at the same time so a two-year commit seemed like a good fit for me for a start."
Alexander, a graduate of Northmont High School, who majored in mass communications and political science at Miami, will be among the largest Teach For America corps ever next school year. He will move to Washington, D.C. for a two-year stint in social studies secondary education with TFA, an organization that recruits college graduates.
