Despite the promised veto by President George W. Bush, both the Senate and the House of Representatives have overwhelmingly passed the new Farm Bill.
Senator Sherrod Brown and Congressman Bob Latta both spoke via conference calls with reporters on Thursday. Interestingly, Brown interrupted the call briefly to cast his vote on the bill.
"We've written a good bill," Brown said, though admitting, "it's far from perfect."
