Obama Pushing Brown-Like Tax Credit

President Barack Obama today is expected to call on Congress to approve a $5 billion extension of a manufacturing tax credit aiming to increase "clean energy" investments - an idea long-pushed by Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio.

Obama is in Las Vegas today, after attending a fundraiser there last night for embattled Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. The manufacturing tax credit Obama - and Brown - want extended was included in the $787 billion stimulus package passed last year.
