CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Ohio U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, a Democrat, is looking for common ground with Republican President-elect Donald Trump.

Brown at a Cleveland news conference Monday still decried Trump's divisive campaign rhetoric, and condemned the billionaire's appointment of alt-right champion Steve Bannon to the Trump administration.

But Brown said he and Trump do share some goals, and he will work with the president elect to advance those objectives.

Brown agrees with Trump that the North American Free Trade Agreement needs review. The senator said he reached out to the Trump transition team over the weekend and offered to help in the push to renegotiate NAFTA.
