A United States Senator from Ohio and a local college official think the Government should keep the Pell Grant Awards the same.

The US Department of Education announcing that they will keep the maximum award for the Pell Grant at 5,550 dollars for this upcoming school year. House Republicans have recently introduced a bill that could reduce the maximum award by nearly 1,500 dollars.

Senator Sherrod Brown says keeping the Pell Grant Awards at their current levels will help give a students a leg up when they graduate.
