OBERLIN — Some Lorain County JVS students will have an impressive way to show future employers their experience. “You know that farmhouse in front of the JVS? I helped renovate that,” they could say.
The 1903 farmhouse, which will now be used as an office and warehouse space for NASA’s Central Operation of Resources for Educators, was dedicated in a ceremony Tuesday afternoon along with the new Precision Machine Technology Lab. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Avon, and astronaut Michael Foreman, an Ohio native who works at NASA Glenn Research Center, gave keynote speeches. U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Toledo, and state Sen. Sue Morano, D-Lorain, also spoke.
