U.S. Senators Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown and U.S. Rep. Mike Turner, R-Dayton, joined forces to call for a crackdown on a foreign paper company they say hurts domestic paper companies.

Portman (R-OH), Brown (D-OH) and Turner were part of a bipartisan group of eight members of congress that sent a letter to the Department of Commerce urging it to impose duties on German company Papierfabrik August Koehler AG and Koehler America Inc. The department conducted a preliminary investigation of the German exporter which found it manipulated data to avoid antidumping fees.

While at West Carrollton-based paper company Appleton Inc., the senators said unfair business practices hurt American companies.
