U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown on Monday announced $100,000 in new federal money for a program designed to improve high school graduation and college enrollment rates among at-risk students.

The Ohio Democrat made the announcement at Lorain County Community College, where he met with students who participated in Project GRAD Lorain's Summer Institute. The program helps poor students complete high school while connecting them with scholarship opportunities for college.
