CLEVELAND – It comes in flavors like Cotton Candy, Fruity Loops, and even Gummi Bear.
And it can be purchased just about anywhere, but it’s not candy.
Concentrated liquid nicotine, used mainly for e-cigarettes, is something that concerns U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and he wants to change the way it’s packaged.
Brown is co-sponsor of the Child Nicotine Poisoning Prevention Act, which would require child-proof packaging on liquid nicotine.
Brown said increases in accidental poisonings due to liquid nicotine is skyrocketing.
He said the product is being marketed in appealing flavors.
“Taste of Vanilla Shake, this is blueberry flavor, and this is cherry flavor,” Brown said, during a Monday morning press conference at University Hospitals.
