MANSFIELD — Ohio’s telephone information lines, including those in Richland County, are investigating how to incorporate 211 into their systems.

Nearly 40 of Ohio’s 88 counties have 211 capability, but numerous north central Ohio counties are still working to incorporate the service.

The 211 call systems allow people to dial that three-digit number, then talk with an information and referral specialist for help with foreclosure counseling, day care or substance abuse among other issues.
