LIMA — The entertainment venue was one of the hardest businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the live show is finally back. In Lima, the Veterans Memorial Citizens Convention Center will host a variety of shows they call the “comeback season.”

Part of the comeback season was made possible by a large amount of federal funding.

As part of the US Rescue Planning Act, Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown co-sponsored a Save Our Stages bill aimed at helping recreational facilities recover from a pandemic. The law has created Shuttered Venue Operator Grants (SVOGs) that have provided more than $ 300 million in relief funding to more than 400 Ohio venues.
