Sen. Sherrod Brown has been named co-chair of the U.S. Senate Air Force Caucus.
Brown, D-Ohio and a Mansfield native, will share the top spot in the caucus with Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyoming. Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, is also a member of the group, which includes 45 senators.
The caucus sponsors briefings, base visits and meetings with Air Force personnel to educate senators about the importance of the Air Force and general military issues.
