Sen. Brown highlights business working to provide better care to veterans suffering from brain injury, depression

During a visit to Warren County Tuesday, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) visited a business whose genetic testing product is beginning to be used by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers. 

Virginia C. Drosos, Assurex Health President & CEO, and James S. Burns, Assurex Health Chairman, outlined the company’s efforts to improve the way clinicians select medications for patients with disorders like depression, anxiety and chronic pain.
 
“Ohio veterans deserve the best quality care and should have access to the latest technology,” Brown said. “That’s why I am encouraged when Ohio businesses help provide solutions to support our military service members and veterans.”
