U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown said Thursday that despite disagreements between Democrats and Republicans on elements of President Barack Obama’s stimulus package, he expects to see some form of the package pass.

Brown, D-Avon, said Ohio could see $6.8 billion in funds, and it could create 142,000 jobs across the state.

If things go as he hopes, Brown said infrastructure improvement projects that are a key element of Obama’s plan, which currently has a price tag of about $920 billion, could have shovels in the ground within a month.
