U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, (D., Ohio) discussed an effort that could potentially save taxpayers money in life-saving drug costs while he was at a news conference at ProMedica Health and Wellness Center today.

Mr. Brown said his bill would include the creation of clinically safe and effective versions of biologics, known as biosimilars, available to patients, which would then provide additional competition in the marketplace and more affordable life-saving drugs for consumers.
