Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) is co-sponsoring a federal bill that would offer financial incentives to states that require schools to have EpiPens on hand.

The bill would provide funding for asthma control programs to states that ensure all schools maintain a supply of epinephrine, which is used to treat severe allergic reactions. At least in Ohio, this is not yet the case and all classrooms do not have an EpiPen readily available for use.
